Our boarding provision is purpose-built and linked to but separate from the school building.  It has been designed, decorated, and furnished to a high standard. Within the residential wing there are two lounges (a communal TV lounge and a smaller quiet lounge) and a communal kitchen/dining room on the ground floor.  Each boarder will have their own first-floor single bedroom with TV, safe, cupboards and a wardrobe. Each room has en-suite shower and toilet facilities. There is a lift between the ground and first floor.

Our boarding provision, which accommodates up to 8 pupils, caters for pupils between 6-19 during school term-times including weekends. The boarding provision provides an extended education curriculum which ensures each pupil has the after school day and weekend opportunities to develop their social skills, independence and life skills.

All pupils have a named member of the residential team as their Key Worker who oversees their Care Plan and liaises closely with their Key Worker in school.

Areas covered within the Care Plan include:

·            Personal Details

·            EHCP Outcomes

·            Health and Medical Information

·            Personal Interests

The residential team works closely with the education team, parents/carers and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care and education. The residential team support the pupils during parts of the school day to provide opportunities for continued learning after the school day has ended.
